Which paid VOIP is good now (in usa)?

I am planning to go for VOIP phone service. Is vonage is good in clarity ? or is there any suggestion for any other provider..?

Ahhh the VoIP - That is a good decision! Go for VoIP phone service.  Vonage is pretty good. These days it is coming down because of some competition i.e. from AT&T, Skype and others. Also there is some lawsuit against Vonage - that doesn't mean it will bring down Vonage.

Have you used Skype? It is free - I would try out Skype first. You would need other equipments along with the VoIP. Some companies supply everything you need along with VoIP package like VoIP Phones, adapter etc. I think it is a good idea to go with such companies.

Well i suggest you compare between a couple of providers. From my experience and what i have read around the web in terms of reviews (am giving you below), ooma and lingo seems to be the best choice.

vonage is pretty much overrated so dont fall for their trap. according to the review ooma sounds like a great choice coz you dont have to pay anything like monthly charges. its like a box you buy and you are done for life. All unlimited calls free. its great.

Yes I know a service provider in the USA which has become a world leader in the technology, and have their own software network dedicated not only to voip but also the use of video phones on the voip network.

If you can email me then I will send you a web site address where you can get all the information.

I know about this service as I have friends in the US who are using it and one who is a rep for the company which is why I cannot give you the web address here.

At present I cannnot use the service myself as it is not yet available here in the UK, however I have seen the quality of the service and it is excellent.

I use InPhonex and CallCentric.

I am completely satisfied with both.

I have my own 2-LIne configurable Linksys PAP2T VoIP adapter.

I configured InPhonex on ATA Line-1 with a phone number, and the CallCentric on Line-2 with another phone number.  One VoIP box, two VoIP services.  Both are low cost and reliable services.... No Contracts.
