I'm thinking of buying a new gun. I've got the smart parts epiphany or the proto slg. They both are the same price. Could you recommend a different gun that costs 200 dollars, or pick which you would get, epiphany or slg.

thanks a bunch!!

  1. Can't help with the specifics, but I can recommend this site:

    sakworldpaintball.com

It has really great deals on great brands so whenever someone recommends a decent gun for you check it out here first! Happy hunting, hope you get what you want

  2. SMART PARTS THERE GOOD GUNS

  3. Definitely get the SLG. Smartparts = garbage. An epiphany is just an upgraded ion, and for all intentional purposes, its not that good. To make an epiphany tournament legal, it needs a $100 board upgrade, and to fit anything in its feed neck, it will need a $35 new feedneck. Not to mention that the stock smartparts ASAs strip tank threads, so count on investing in one of those two. the Proto SLG comes stock with a tournament ready board, decent ASA, and the feedneck may need replaced, but it works with most loaders. Ive had my fair share of smartparts guns, and can tell you from experience, I will never buy one again.

But hey, if you want to blow all your money on upgrading a gun, so it can be even kinda decent, get the epiphany.

  4. Well epiphany is honestly a garbage gun, but the SLG is ok. But if your really looking for an amazing gun that's under 200 dollars then get a Tippman 98 Custom. There are 3 different types of 98 Customs; the Basic, the Response Trigger, or the E-Grip.

The E-Grip is the most expensive running about 200 dollars even but its well worth it. With the E-Grip you can switch between semi-automatic, 3 shot burst, or full automatic. This gives you a huge advantage against the competition if you go to a park that allows full automatic guns because you can fire up to 15 balls per second while a regualar semi with the faster shooter tops out at 7 shots. And another added advantage is the patented Tippman Tornado feeder which feeds 5 balls at once instead of 1 at a time which allows the gun to fire faster and avoid chopping.

And also the Tippman 98 has dozens of upgrades than can better your gun so in my opinion this is the best gun for the money. It may not be the nicest looking gun in the world but if you are looking to dominate the competition then this is the gun for you.

You don't have to listen to this but just consider it because i guarantee that you will enjoy this gun better than the SLG or Epiphany.
