sorry this is so long but i REALLY need advice!!! So my parents argue at lease once a month for as long as i can remember and it's driving me crazy because it's always about the same topics -- relatives, my dad's constant stock market "gambling", etc. When they argue it gets really loud and they sometimes hit each other and throw things and I'm scared the neighbors will hear and think my family is crazy. They used to call the cops over like twice a year before i entered middle school and now i intervene before they do it now ,out of embarassment of having cops at my house. When they call the cops, it is because neither of them wants to leave the house - the cops are kind of like parents to them, they tell them who is right and it's ridiculous. My mom bought the house, pays for food and taxes and my dad pays for things like water and electricity. WHICH ONE SHOULD LEAVE FIRST? When i try to explain to my dad that he should be the mature one and just leave for a few hours, he gets highly defensive and goes on and on about how he pays for bills, fixes the house when it needs it . I try to tell my mom to just let it go and be mature and leave, but she does own the house and i can't really argue against that. I stress the importance of who should leave first because both of them refusing to leave often results in violence. I'm really worried they could hurt each other or something after i leave because i graduate in one year. please give me some advice!!!
