  1. Florence and Rome are great around that time. Ciao!

  2. My favorite city is Florence, so much art  and history.

  3. Italy is supposed to be in for a cold winter and it may start early. All of the places you mention are wonderful but for comforts sake I'd do Rome. It has everything any major world city can offer and more.

There are few tourists in Venice in November and so though it may not be terribly warm there - and if are lucky to have sun filled days - you may consider spending time there. Venice is but a stone's throw from Verona and the city merits a visit too.

OK - you may want to fly into Venice spend a day and night. Next afternoon take the train to Verona (abt 1.5 hours away) and spend a the evening there and then train to Florence for two days and then ther rest of the time in Rome - return flight from Rome.

This sounds like too much stuff to do for me but many 1st timers just loove to see all they can see in as little time possible..... but for me 7 days in Rome and maybe a side trip to Naples for two night (and a dozen pizzas) would do me right.

  4. Venice and Rome

  5. Speaking from experience, I spent 3 weeks visiting all those areas during November.  It was cool and at times I needed a coat but it was absolutely beautiful and of all of those locations you mentioned (I went to all)... the best was Florence and Venice.  I couldn't recommend one over the other.  You could take a train and see both... just fabulous.

  6. Hi...I am from Italy, Florence...I can tell you that Florence is beautiful in november but is  a bit cold.In all italy is like this.I think that Florence is the best, but Venice is beautiful,my mother is born there. In Rome there are milions of turists.I think that Verona is not the BEST place in Italy only because there lived Romeo and Juliet ( William Shakespeare). In Venice is  cold in the winter because it s in the north of Italy....

You need to choose but I think that the cities in the Centre of Italy are less cold than the other ones...In Rome you can find many things about Romans ecc.In Florence is more gothic style and more like from the 1500 till 1700.Venice is a city on the water and there are 100 or more little islands.

    These cities are all beautiful!

    Kiss from Italy

  7. Florence (and the surrounding areas of Tuscany. with land like that, it truly boggles the mind why the Romans even bothered with the rest of the world).

  8. All of Italy is fine for November. It's possible that there will be some aqua alta events in Venice, but that shouldn't discourage you. I would recommend Florence though. In addition to the attractions of Florence itself, one of my favorite events in November is the Truffle festival in San Miniato (1st 3 weekends). The old town where the festival is held is a Tuscan hill town not far from Pisa - it's an easy train ride from Florence. Verona and Rome are not difficult day trips from Florence by train and Venice would also be possible.

  9. i suggest you to visit my city verona....it's a beautiful and historical city with lots thing to do. Moreover it's near venice, you can reach it by train inone hour and thirty...

  10. The weather in Rome in November is not too cold. But if you want a nice warm place Sanremo in liguria on costa ligure is for you a small seaside city near France.
