Which part of Jamaica is better, Montego Bay or Ocho Rios?

We are taking a cruise but we have a choice from Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. Which part of Jamaica is best?

Ocho Rios has more to attraction but it is all spread out and mobay is close together.

If you want to stroll and shop in a central area... with minimum adventure factor (just a laze really)then go to mobay.   have margarita ville shopping jerk centre and doctors cave beach.  the bobsled team resteraunt is there as well and u can get some water sports as well.

If u want to hype of river rafting, dunns river falls climbing... the bob marley experience... dolphins and the likes go to Ocho Rios

Island village also has a margaritaville with a nice beach.. great shopping and coffee rum liquor etc.

be prepared to rent a taxi to get around.

dont mind if in the very local shoping places people are tugging on the sleave to buy stuff... tourists are very put off but the reality is they just have crude marketing skills and they think there being friendly and persuasive.  This is what friendly looks like in general... animated, expressive and a tad invasive!

If you are choosing between the two spots to stop on a cruise, I would go with Ocho Rios.  You can head up to Dunns River Falls and through the little shopping area there. Also, the beaches are better (my opinion).  Mobay would be a better place if you were just flying in and staying in one place.  They have better hotels in Montego Bay.
