Which part of Six Flags is better?

Question

I'm graduating from High school in about a week and I plan on taking my mom and dad and maybe a friend of mine there. I noticed that there's two parks? hurricane harbor and magic mountain. I never been to six flags so I'm confused...

Hurricane Harbor is a water park. Magic mountain is a theme park with rides and stuff. For a graduate I would think you would go to Magic Mountain. It is an older crowd.

I'm from Chicago and we have a Six Flags theme park there called Great America, there is also Hurricane Harbor.  All of the Six Flags them parks have different special features but they are pretty much the same thing.  Great America is the theme park and they've recently removed one of my favorite rides which makes me sad!  But there is always a new ride opening every one to two years so I hope they bring something similar to the Power Dive (that's what it was called).   Hurricane Harbor is a kick butt water park!  If you plan on visiting both parks you need to plan an over night trip!  These parks are huge and have a tone of things to do which makes it difficult to get a full experience if you're there for one day.  With the huge crowds and long lines you need enough time to get a full experience.  They do have a relatively new feature called the Flash Pass which allows the purchaser the opportunity to move up in the lines a lot faster so you may want to look into that.  Also, the food is ridiculously expensive so I'd pack a cooler and leave it in the trunk for lunch at least!  You can always get your hand stamped and leave for a meal but sometimes you lose motivation to go back after you've left the park. So, plan accordingly and have a great trip!

They are 2 different parks altogether, but they are just next door to each other. Magic Mountain is definately better. They have the best rollercoasters you will ever ride. Also there is so many of them! At Hurricane Harbour, theres only a few water slides. They are good, but cannot compare to Magic Mountains coasters. Have fun!
