Which part of barcelona is better to stay for 3 nights?

Depends what you want to do. If you're looking to see the sights and hit the nightlife then go for the old town - anywhere near the Ramblas should do you.

Barcelona - good choice!

I would say somwhere in the centre or in Gracia - really nice area! not quite walking distance from centre though.

Plaza Catalunya or Plaza Espanya is good too.

Small streets running from the Rambla could be quite noisy and rough sometime!
