Which part of the leg are best for sprinting?

I was just wondering if anyone knew which part of the leg are most involved in sprinting.. the Quads, Hams or calves?

  1. all of your leg muscles need to be toned and strong for you to be a productive sprinter. along with your arms. because you pump your arms to move your legs when you run so having strong arms will also help a ton.


  2. It is all of them. I sprinted in Track last year. You defiantly use all of them.

    If you do want to sprint make sure you stretch-if you pull a muscle you will be in pain for a while. It hurts too.
