London is a complicated place.  You will often get well-to-do areas next door to somewhat run down ones.  However I'd avoid Somers town and Kings X, areas off the Harrow Road ,Kensal Rise (has been gangland shooting territory)- south of the river parts of Clapham,Tooting.  Wrong areas of docklands. NW London is generally ok- not sure about the East End these days. I'd be a bit wary of some tube lines late at night too.

If you dont want to be stabbed then I suggest Bodmin Moor.

There are dangerous places no matter where you go!!!!! Brixton isn't great but there are parts of Islington that are questionable too, but parts that are lovely!!!!! There are dodgy places all over London!

If you're looking for trouble, trouble is more likely to find you, no matter where you are!!!

most areas can be pretty dangerous but they also have nice parts like most places

brixton is a pretty dangerous part of london.

Well some areas are known for it but the stereotypical areas in London are Brixton, Lambeth and Tower Hamlets.

I used to deliver pizza to all sorts of dodgy areas in zones 1-3 (central) in London and the places I found bad were the big council estates. The very worst one was the "North Road" estate near "Caledonian Road" underground station.

I'm on guard on London night buses on Friday and Saturday morning e.g. 4a.m. and try to avoid parks and dark alleys in the middle of London on weekends; my brother got 'held hostage' once by an addict pointing a needle at his neck in Soho Square.

In Manchester- Levenshulme and Mosside.
