Not much people would actually try whole heartedly to prevent global warming.But as this is our world we all should try to prevent global warming.

I believe that the people who would care about global warming enough to do something about are those who care about the future generations.  They not only think about the good of the general population at the moment, but those who will be walking in our footsteps.

  Some people have already started doing something about global warming. Some of the environmentalists and conservationalists have already done something to try to slow and reverse the effects of the pollution.

  Some vegetarians and vegans have stopped eating meat because of the cruelty to  the animals and the money and resources it takes to raise cattle or other livestock.  

  Other people have switched to driving more fuel efficient and air friendly cars.  Using light efficient flourescent lightbulbs also helps.

  Everyone in reality should care though. EVERYONE.  Everyone should do something about stopping global warming.

All of us.  The good news is that by "each of us doing our part" each of us can benefit not only by helping preserve our enviorment, but also financially.

Seriously.  If you step back from all the propaganda and scare tactics--and from the people overreacting and claiming "we have to stop using energy" (which ain't gonna happen!) and use some common sense--you'll realize that practically everything you cando to reduce pollution will end up saving you money--even things that require an up-front investment (small, like energy-efficient light bulbs, or large, like installing solar panels) ends up paying for itself and then some.

But make no mistake about it--it isn't "the other guy's problem"--its OUR problem--yours, mine, everybody's.

Only God can change our weather. If you believe in global warming I suggest you go back to school and get an education. Global warming is no more my problem then it is my problem to prevent the upcoming invsion of little green men from Saturn. To the answer below about not having children. Not sure you thought about your answer before writing it. What that woud do is at some point would make the human race extinct. Then we will have global warming but no one here to enjoy it.

The best way to fight global warming would be to do just the opposite of what the environmental wakos tell us to do. Buy a hummer, do not use public transportation, keep all your lights on and above all else do not recycle. After a few years we will all notice that the earth's temperature has not changed and maybe then the concept of man made global warming can be buried next to the founder of the flat earth society.

everyone contributes to global warming. Everyone could use less car transport and walk more, cycle more, use public transport. Everyone could use less power inside: less gas, oil, etc, eg by wearing warm clothes inside instead of expecting your house to be as hot as a womb all the time (this is usually thecase in the USA), everyone can turn off lights and appliances when not is direct use, support green power, use less packaging and plastics, eat more vege's and fruit and less meat, and so. If you want to stop global warming its fine doing your part, but that isnt going to do anything until we drastrically change the way our world is powered.  

I'm all for individual change but until major oil, power, and other forms of destructive energy are replaced with cleaner methods were pretty much screwed to put it bluntly.

Nuclear power has to be developed in my opinion along with hydrogen cell power.

This change is going to cost billions upon billions and negatively affect of economy but it has to happen sometime and im hoping sooner rather than to late.

everyone should find out what they can do.  Small things can make a big difference.  It's a lot to ask everyone to go and buy a new car, or get solar panels, but most people can use paper not plastic. Most people can change their light bulbs to the newer more energy efficient kind.

Women, by not having children. No single act by anyone can have a greater impact on the environment then having children.

Every person is responsible because we all live on this planet together and our lives are ultimatley tied together despite race, religeon, or social status.  

We should all take it seriously and we should all do what we can.  There is only one Earth and the carrying capacity and resources are FINITE.  

As humans we all need food, water, and shelter.  This applies to Rich or Poor, and if you constantly pollute where you live you will ultimately suffer the consequences.

if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to slowdown the destructive processes

reduce carbon emisions,and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials,aerosol cans,burning rubbish,industrial chimneys,powerplants etc.

the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.

the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia

Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.

the protection of existing forrests.

stop building more highways,urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

education on environmental awareness

education on family planning to curb over´populaion

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.
