Which perennial flower would go well planted along foxgloves which is narrow and taller and blooms after?

have area of foxgloves which I am wishing to plant something between them to give colour to that area after they finish blooming.

also, how long and generally when do they bloom?

  1. my foxgloves are dying off now and i have phlox, lobelia cardinalis, Lily's , Sweet Williams, Dahlias and Chrysanthemums creating a long flowering border (tallest in the back shortest in the front)


  2. Campanulas, verbina and veronica.

  3. verbena bonariensis sounds like just the thing - flowers from July 'till the frosts and self seeds readily, just like your foxgloves!

  4. lobelia cardinalis, lupins and delphiniums, all in different colors if wished. Also there the excellent late flowering rudbeckias

  5. Delphiniums or lupins.  The first are taller and the second have very poisonous seed pods so watch if you have children.

  6. Monks-hood.  Don't know latin name though.

    Or Lupins !
