There are nine main ways in which human beings become alienated from who they really are. They are:

Type 1 Personality: The Reformer

The reformer is driven by anger. Their anger causes permanently dissatisfied with themselves and the world around them. They work hard to improve themselves as people and to make the world "a better place to live in". They remember a time when everything was the way it should be. They have a strong sense of injustice and are the people who will "take on" anything.

Type 2 Personality: The Helper

They focus on other people. They feel they are not essentially love-able people. To get love, they believe they have to put others first. They are driven by pride. They are proud of their own "goodness" and willingness to "help out" others. They are often lonely and sad, but to proud to admit this. They see themselves as loving, kind, well-intentioned people you can always rely on. At their best, they genuinely do love others and give selflessly.

Type 3 Personality: The Movie Star

They are particularly important, it is the personality type that is most rewarded and encouraged. They learned that in order to survive they had to impress the people around them. These people are the least "real" and most aggressive. They are driven by vanity. They have charisma and they will use whatever gifts they have as a menas of putting on a performance. At their best, They make the people around them feel good about themselves.

Type 4 Personality: The Individualist

They are driven by envy. They are essentially sad people. They suffer from a terrible sense of inner lack and may be rather cruel people to deal with. Artistic people are often individualists.

Type 5 Personality: The Scientist

They feel helpless and are afraid they "won't make it". They are driven by greed, by a clutching, mean approach to life and other people. What knowledge they do have they intend to keep to themselves. They can become weird and secretive. Sensible, balanced scientists, however, are invaluable people to know. For example, they often notice things that the rest of us don't and they can be very astute about themselves and others.

Type 6 Personality: The Loyal Supporter

They are driven by fear. They need some form of inner guidance that will enable them to stop feeling so fearful of the future.

Type 7 Personality: The Pleasure-seeker

They believe that the world is full of wonderful things and their task is to grab as many of those wonderful things as possible. In their avoidance of any form of pain, they are, in a sens, "on the run". They are empty people who seek externals to fill them. They can be immoral. They love excitement and will happily take risks. They can be a wonderful person to have around: at their best, they enjoy life and will go out of their way to give others a good time, too.

Type 8 Personality: The Achiever

They are driven by an addiction to power. As a result, they are intens, energetic and domineering. These are the people who simply don't believe in slowing down and letting things be. Any serious power, struggle, including a war, usually involves a fight between people who are the achiever and who are prepared to sacrifice others to get their way. They can be people with vision. They are the people who get things done, who achieve things, who won't give up.

Type 9 Personality: The Peacemaker

Pardoxically they are driven by laziness. They are the "peace at any price" people, the people who "swing along" with others, who blend in with the crowd. Harmony is important to them because, in a way, harmony is a form of invisibility and it's much easier not to put up a fight. They often give one the impression that they aren't "all there". They will put off doing things for as long as possible. They are asleep to their own lives and thenselves as individuals. So long as they can either be invisible or fit in somehow, they are happy. They are problem-avoiders who hope that things will somehow sort themselves out. They want to remain in some sort of inner world where they feel secure and comfortable. They are gifted peacemakers - they hate any form of violence and, interestingly, will work hard to restore or create equilibrium and harmony where neither existed.
