  1. you will want a young bird that was hand feed and raised that way it will be playful affectionate goofy friendly most likely petco or petsmart will have hand feed hand raised birds mine was and it was a parakeet but you can look at all the birds and chose for your self

  2. A penguin.

  3. I would suggest a cockatail. I've had all kinds of birds. Parakeets or to jumpy and not playful and parrets bite and are stubborn. A cockatail will play with you and stay a size from 6-8 inches tall. I taught mine to talk within a month after i got it. Make sure you keep there wings trimmed but prepare yourself for a lot of work cleaning up. You should buy the bird from a small local pet shop though. Do not buy it from large companys. I got mine for about 100 dollars.

  4. You sould get a maroon bellied conure or a green cheeked conure. They are very nice and sooooo affectionate and interactive. My first  and only bird is a maroon bellied conure. I got him when I was 11. When I first got him, he was completly untame, but with a small bit of training, he became soooo nice, now I can walk around the block with him on my sholder, or go to the pet store with him out. It is awesome to just have him on my shoulder as I watch movies and stuff like that. He absolutly loves the attention. I got Bo- bo at Petco, but Bird Crazy has an excellent scelection of super nice birds! Bo- bo cost about $250 , and I payed for him myself, but it was totally worth it, and I wouldn't trade him for anything!

  5. african grey $200- $1000+

    or

    indian ring neck $100- $5000+

both are really cool birds to have

we used to have an indian ring neck but he was killed in a tornado a few weeks ago, he would talk and laugh and kiss, he talked really clearly and also he was really pretty, his feathers were green with teal/ green tail feathers, a black and pink ring around his neck and blue eyes

i've also had an african grey in the past and he was a very friendly bird, also the first to meet you when you go into the bird room

  6. Depends on the size you are looking for- playful, goofy and affectionate describes well tamed cockatiels and budgies, sun conures, blue and gold macaws, certain cockatoos, caiques, parrotlets... etc. How big are you looking? How much time a day can you offer (consistantly)? Whats your budget? How big of a cage can you have? (remember, the bigger, the better!)

  7. i'm not sure where you can buy them try petco or petsmart and im not sure how much they cost prices vary but some good birds are Cockateils (i'm not sure how you spell them) they are soo cute and they are playful!

  8. I have  had a cockatiel since 1996 & I love him. Mine was a rescue bird, so he was free, but they cost about $100.00 U.S.

  9. a parrot would be nice they r playful......thay r usually hundreds of dollars though.

  10. A parakeet (budgie) would be nice. They're pretty easy to train if you know how and they only cost $20. You can buy them at Petco. Any pet store. Hope that helped.

  11. a budgery gar

  12. s***w the bird get a spider monkey. i have no idea about the rest of the question

  13. It sounds like my bird is the kind you're looking for. He's a Dusky Conure and is extraordinarily friendly and playful. He goes on walks with me and meets lots of people. He's got more friends than I do! He's relatively small ( 6"-7" @ 3.5 oz.) and is mainly green. He's not as colorful as a Sun Conure, but I'm told Dusky's are more friendly. Around $250-$500. The type of bird will have something to do with how friendly it is, but it's moreso how they're raised and how they've been treated thus far in their life. I highly recommend Omar's Exotic Birds. That's where I got my Dusky 17 years ago. They sell bird supplies, food, cages, toys etc, but mainly raise exotic birds. They're the experts at it and if you can visit a store, I highly recommend it. If not, the link below is their website. They hand raise all of their birds from the egg and many different people take care of the birds so they aren't attached to one person..... so from African Grey, to Eclectus to Caique to McCaw to Cockatoo...they're all super friendly and very high quality.

  14. a cockatiel for about $50 - $100

  15. Sounds like a parakeet is perfect for you!

  16. A small type of Parakeet called a Budgie is available at most Petco's and PetSmart's. They are small and very colorful. They can be taught to talk and they chirp and sing. They are very social and will become very attached to a good owner. You need to be patient when it comes to handling them, however, they may not be too comfortable with you at first, but over time will love being handled. Here are approximate prices.

Budgie Bird- $15-$25 *One time cost* Or adopt one from petfinder.com for a small adoption fee or optional donation

Cages (wide range of kinds)- $50 and up (to several hundred dollars) *One time cos*

Cage Accessories (like toys, food and water dishes) $50 for several toys and a set of dishes and a perch. *One time cost, plus occasional replacements*

Food- $5-$10 dollars a bag *approx. once a month cost*

Cage cleaning accessories-$15-20 *maybe two-three times a year depending on the size of the cleaner you get*

Treats-$2-5 a bag or 'stick' depending on what kind *a few times a month depending on how much you get each time*

Also, don't forget to remember that you may need to take your pet to the vet, so be sure you have enough money for emergencies that may occur.

Good luck and enjoy you new feathered friend!
