Question:

I've heard conflicting info about lovebirds. Some say that they live up to their name, and others have said that they are the exact opposite of their name (violent to the point of even killing each other). Could experienced bird owners please give me some info.

Essentially, here's my question. Which birds will be aggressive no matter how nice and social you are with them?

I want to get a pet bird when I am able to, but I don't want to fall in love with my bird only to find out that it's a fearsome feathery fiend. LOL.

  1. The ones that aren't socialized or handled correctly.

Get a nice male budgie. LOL.

  2. Lovebirds are great I think. Budgies are also really good.

They don't peck and just love you, if you socialize with it and stuff.

  3. Get a male pacific parrotlet!!!! PERFECT!!!!

  4. Lovebirds can be very aggressive with each other-the reason they are called lovebirds is that when they sit close together the colored portions of their heads make the shape of a heart.

For a first bird I would recommend a parakeet-each has a personality but if you get one, spend time with it you will have a friend who loves you totally

  5. parrots you do not want them my friend!

  6. no love birds are great I've had a pair of them.

bugies are good pets to train and they will love you but they are also don't mind if they arn't loved
