  1. Get the fox, They're more interesting and different than your usual pets. It's an awesome conversation starter.

But I would suggest considering a skunk. They rock!!

  2. get the fox you can feed it dead birds hahah =P

  3. samoyed dog

  4. A fox would be cool... very different

  5. get a cockatiel!!

most of them are really nice.

    and their so cute

    they don't smell either

dogs are way too much work

and when you get tired of it you can just put it in its cage

    omarsexoticbirds.com

    ^^^^thats where i got mine..

  6. Either the Samoyed or the Fennec Fox.  Birds are messy, smelly, and they get annoying after a while.

The Fennec Fox would probably be a cool pet to have.

  7. the fox or the dog. I always wanted a fox

  8. you should get the samoyed dog. dogs are a lot of responsibility, but are one of the best pets you could ever have.

  9. dog totally.  everyone loves dogs because they are playful and cuddly yet loyal.

  10. The farm I volunteer at has a Fennec Fox named Pheonix, he is so sweet!  You have to work with them a lot to get them that way though.

They like to make weird noises, just so you know.

  11. Samoyed dog by far. They are so pretty, but energetic. Do you have a yard for them to play in? I think the others are less maintenance. A dog is like a human being... needs a lot of attention.

  12. get a squirrell

  13. DO NOT GET A FOX! I KNOW THAT FENNEC FOXES ARE SMALL< BUT THEY ARE WILD ANIMALS! DO NOT GET A FOX!!!!!!!

  14. It really depends upon your lifestyle and how much time you able to contribute.

do you smoke?  If yes: do not get a pet. Second hand smoke can cause respiratory concerns and cancer.

Do you have a lot of time to go to pet training classes? PetSmart has positive reinforcement pet training classes for approximately $100. They are one hour/evening per week for approximately 8 weeks. You also have to spend time every day practicing what you learn in class. These classes help in the development of your communication skills with your pet. Where do you live has an affect on this type of dog. They were bred for sled dogs and can not live outside comfortably in a warm climate. There fur is designed to withstand very cold areas such as the northern states. If you do have one in the southern states they will need to be inside or they can be a victim of heat stroke. Also research these dogs (Samoyed, Malamute) as they are very high energy dogs that need a lot of exercise to be mentally healthy. Again, this can be an issue in a warm climate; you would have to take them for a walk very early in the morning and in the cool evenings.

A Sun Conure and a Cockatiel need relatively less time but, you still need to spend time everyday with your bird. They have complicated respiratory systems and can not be exposed to many scents/odors that can be toxic. (go to Birdtalk.com for research and information) A good book to check out is 'Cockatiels for Dummies'; please, do not take offense; this book is great with a sheet in the front that lists many toxic items from around your home. Each of these birds can be hand tamed if you buy a hand fed baby bird. Also pay close attention to their diet.

A Homing Pigeon needs positive reinforcement training and they do better in groups. Do you have a place (garage, outside building) when they can live? Do you have the time it will take to work with them

  15. samoyeds are pretty

but i would also suggest a shibi imu (spelling?) puppy. they're soo adorable when they're babies, than they grow up to be kinda big but not too big so they may scare off like intruders or something but i think they're pretty friendly so i don't know but whatever they're cute :)

  16. I had a Cockatiel once and it was so noisey it was unbelievable, you can let them out of their cage and they will fly around for a bit and then sit on your shoulder for you to stroke the tufty hair on their head, but if you have any gold or silver jewellery they will try to take it. Especially Ear-rings. and they pull hard and try to rip it our of your ear.

    They are evil lol....

  17. I've always wanted a bird but my mom won't let me have one because they're messy and noisy! I've always thought they're really cute though. Just my opinion. So i would say the cockatiel but in the end it's up to you.

  18. ok because one of them is a mystery to me

    i hate birds

    i love foxes and dogs

    cockatiels are ugly

and idk what a sun conure is

so i have to go with the fox.

  19. It doesn't matter which ones random strangers like best.  You're the one who will be taking care of the animal for the rest of its life and buying it food and whatever else it needs and taking it to the vet.  Spend lots of time researching those animals (as in several weeks or even months) and figure out based on your research, and also if you can, talk to people who have experience with them, which one would be most suited to your lifestyle.  Just because someone likes one animal does not mean it would be a good commitment for everyone.

  20. Homing pigeon; they are relatively affordable, make good companions, they are quieter(all you'll really hear is their cooing which a few of my friends who have em come to find it quite relaxing), they can be pliable(aka they can be trainable and adaptable to whomever is their owners, just feed em and love em). Perfect :]

  21. The Samoyed dog takes its name from the Samoyedic peoples of Siberia. An alternate name for the breed, especially in Europe, is Bjelkier. These nomadic reindeer herders bred the fluffy, white, smiling dogs to help with the herding, to pull sleds when they moved, and to keep their owners warm at night by sleeping on top of them. Therefore, these kind little dogs should be the best choice for you.

  22. First you have to ask yourself, how much care does each pet require, and how much time can you devote to caring for your pet, and giving it the attention it needs?

Do you live in a place where you can keep a dog?  Does it have a fenced yard large enough to allow the dog to adequately exercise?

Do you have the patience to work with a bird, so it is tame?  Do you live with others who might not like loud bird calls?

I discourage you from getting a fennec fox. These animals are borderline endangered.  I would not support an industry that takes wildlife from their natural habitat.  Also, being nocturnal, they would keep you awake all night.

It doesn't matter which animal or bird would be a "cool pet".  What matters is, can you provide a suitable home for this pet.  Remember, your pet relies on you for everything: Clean food and water, a warm and safe place to sleep, a clean, and roomy place to live, exercise and love!

Please give this due consideration before you make your choice.
