  1. Rats would probably be best. They are pretty smart, but no animal will just know tricks when you get it. You will need to put time and effort into training them, unless you adopt one from a shelter or somewhere else that has already been trained. Please don't have high expectations for your pet as to doing tricks, some animals are just not happy/good at doing tricks. Get a pet because you want to take care of and have it, not just so that you can have a toy that will do tricks for you.

Hamsters/gerbils/mice have shorter life spans than guinea pigs and rats, which may be a concern for you.

All animals will need to have their cages cleaned out at some point, don't expect an animal to be completely clean/not smelly.

If you do get an animal, adopt one from a shelter or humane society. Many are overloaded with animals, and they often have better information than pet stores about care.

  2. Rats. but only if you get 2, a large cage, and feed it lab blocks(not seeds)

  3. rats definetaly.but you have to have two or they could die of depretion.rats learn there names fast.

  4. A rat would probably be your best bet. Rats are highly intelligent creatures and are good at learning tricks.

I myself and partial to guinea pigs. They are cuddly, lovey, and also very talented (I had one that was potty-trained!) but they tend to pee a lot and have a very strong smell unless you clean the cage at least 1 time a week.

Hamsters suck. Don't get a hamster.

  5. Gerbils are easy to care and they don't create such a mess, they are real curious. Watch out they are not friendly and not tamed.>>> Guinea Pigs i think that would be the right one because they are easy going and out of the

rodents easy to care for. And when you take care of it it will become

very tamed.>>> Hamsters are gentle, trusting and inquisitive. They can be really messy and not smart because i have a Dwarf Hamster named Missy. They do not suck! :( >>>Rats are easy to care

for,Clean and loves to interact people. At the middle of the night,

Rats make a lot of noise but with two Rats it can be easily tamed

and to keep company.>>>Ferrets are more exotic pet, they are

more active at morning and afternoon.Ferrets are curious and very active. They are very fearless animals and scared they might hide

outside the cage so watch out for that Ferret! [Not a good pet] Well

that is all i could think of hope it works

and good luck finding the right one.

  6. Rats, hamsters, and mice are probably the most intellegent out of the five. If I were you, though, I would get a hamster. Hamsters are cuddly, cute, and are good for rodent lovers who are squeamish about rodent tails. If you want to get more than one pet, though, I would recommend mice, as they are smaller than rats and easier to look after. You can also get more than one Dwarf Hamster, but DO NOT put two Syrian hamsters together.

No rodents really recognise their names, but you can teach them other tricks. Be aware, though, that in order for your pets to know tricks, you have to put a lot of time and effort into training them. There are rodent trainers out there, but it's really best if you train your own pet, so that you can spend time with them.

I think that out of the five, hamsters are probably one of the cleanest. If you regularly clean out its cage and change out its bedding (pine bedding is best), your hamster will barely smell at all.

Hamsters are indeed really smart and do NOT suck at all! All of my hamsters are smart enough to have discovered several ways to escape from their cages, and they will also recognise your face and be very friendly!

So all in all, my vote is on the hamster!

  7. A rat would answer your question. They all are pretty clean, but you might want to look into the fact that hamsters and mice bite. That is all... Hope this helps and good luck finding the perfect pet!

  8. i dont know anything about those animals, but cats r cleaner than dogs. puppies r capable of learning more tricks
