I have 2 phones and a friend ask me to give him my old phone. My old phone is Nokia 6280 2Megapixel camera, high resolution screen, mp3 player, radio, internet, blutooth, and 2gb memory card, Interchangeable fascia. Only problem is a chunky phone

Or Should I get them a new "buget" phone? This one is the Sony Ericsson W200i, with VGA camera, MP3 player, Radio, internet, expandable memory (2gb) PC connection, only problem, it has NO blutooth!!

  1. hey man nuh gi man nuh ol' bruk give him di secon one 'THE NEW ONE'  an u keep the old one or buy one more fi yuhself.

  2. i wasnt able to see the first phone...personaly i think they would like the second one better...

but they should be greatful for whichever one

  3. either phone will be fine - as long as you make sure the phone is a Tri-Band GSM 900/1800/1900MHz, Unlocked for DIGICEL AND C&W or a Quad-Band 850/900/1800/1900MHz.

The phone should have a SIMS chip for it (like TMobile or ATT).  Phones from Sprint and Verizon do not have the chip in the back.  Make sure the phone is unlocked like I mentioned above.  When I am in JA, I take my TMobile chip out and put in my Digicel chip and have no problems!!  But I had to call TMobile and get a code to get my phone unlocked.  I have also bought TMobile phones and had them unlocked and brought them down for my friends from JA and they work great!  I always get quad-band phones - then there is no question that they work.  Hope that helps...

  4. The second phone. Phones are an important fashion accessory in Jamaica so the newer the better. The more features the better.  They also prefer sleeker phones to chunky ones.

  5. Well I think you should give him the one you don't want and keep the one you prefer. If your money bought it then you deserve to have the one you like best.

  6. Give the phone that you don't want to them.  Also find out if the person has PC etc for the downloading of music etc. Just a little footnote  phones purchased in carphone warehouse do not need unocking to use in JA - I was told this byu someone who works in T mobile (they lock their phones).

  7. Give the one you don't want. You should always want better for yourself. Who dosen't ? Or if your really really kind give him the one you love.

  8. Jamaicans prefer sleeker phones to chunky ones and it doesn't hurt if it new either. In fact the newer the phone, the better. However since they are both yours i think you should keep the one you like better.

  9. Well the type of phone is neither here nor there it depends on which of the phones are unlocked to work on the networks in Jamaica ( C&W and Digicel) and the compatible frequecy of the phone.C&W's network works with phones that are compatible with 850 MHz and 1900 MHz,while Digicel works with phones that are compatible with 900 MHz and 1800 MHz.Some phones when unlocked can work on both networks all you need is a chip for whichever network.
