Question:

Which phone system for small business - Devon, UK?

My friend is setting up a small business in Devon, UK. He will only have himself and 2 employees to begin with so I'm wondering what kind of small-scale phone system would be best to use. Possibility of expansion would be good. Are there any good systems from BT?

Cheers

  1. Go onto the BT website and take your pick. They also have advisers.

I rate BT excellent.  Here in Cornwall.

  2. They are the obvious choice with which to start. Take a look at the BT Shop web site ! ! !

  3. I run a small business from UK and travel around Europe. Manning the phone and meeting potential customers is not an easy task, I have an 0845 number which gets diverted to my mobile where ever I am in the world. Try Planet numbers they have all sorts of deal for SMEs and are (I found the cheapest). try http://www.planet-numbers.co.uk/

    thanks

  4. I am a director of a telecoms company based in cardiff.. we sell in direct competition to BT

But if it is just a few people, he can buy a small basic home office system from BT and no-one will be the price, a small Inspiration will do the trick, but go to any BT shop and they will help out. Alternatively if only one person is going to be on the phone at a time, he could buy a multi pack of diverse cordless, again from BT

He will be able to run broadband on the line, or if he wanted a seperate fax line the broadband could go on that

Our small systems start at £1500, and the BT kit is way way cheaper, they have the small home market sewn up, just make sure you dont buy on a rental contract otherwise you will pay over the odds
