Question:

Which phones are able to 2-way sync Yahoo Go contacts?

On the Yahoo Go site there is some fine print. "*Two-way synchronization of contacts between phone and Web not available on all phones and carriers." I can't find a list of which phones can do this. I am trying to do this on new Cingular Sync phone and can't even find the Yahoo address book. The Yahoo Go email is working OK.

  1. Hmm, good question.  I'm on Verizon with a Blackberry 8703e and if I open Yahoo Go in the "Settings" menu there's an option for "Address Book sync" where you can turn it on or off.  Also on the main menu there an "Address Book sync" option which manually kicks off the sync.

I'm reading my email with Y! Go but I haven't tried the Address Book sync yet.  Mainly because I want to do my calendar as well and Y! Go doesn't seem to support that yet.  I'm a bit disappointed because Y! Go 1.0 in Windows Mobile had the ability to do this.

I think for now I might sync my info to Yahoo through the free Intellisync app.  This will run on my desktop.  This way I can have Calendar, Contacts and Notes in sync with my BlackBerry which of course is in sync with my corporate Outlook.
