which photoshop programme is better? 7.0 or CS2???

Better depends on what system you're using and what you plan to use it for.

CS2 is a newer version than 7.0, and includes many new features.  It is bundled with Adobe's Creative Suite, so transferring files between other CS programs is facilitated much better than in previous versions.

However, with these new features, it requires a bit more system memory than older versions, so if you are running an older machine you may find that Photoshop 7 runs much smoother.

CS2 but i would invest a little more and get CS3 as it has same options plus 2 very nice features which CS2 doesnt have a way to edit 3D  models and you can save an animation file straight from CS3 not like CS2 were you have to export your file to ImageReady, so id suggest going for CS3

Creative Suite 2 (CS2) is slightly better.

There isn't really a massive difference between them, but I would go for CS2. I've had 7.0.1 before and loved it and never wanted to upgrade, until I got CS2 I hated it.

Later on I got used it, then loved it more than 7.0.1. If you're choosing out of them two, I'd go for CS2.
