I think Active EMG 81's or Evolotion 2's, but I was wondering if there were any better ones at pinch harmonics so I could get the squealy Zakk Wylde kind?

  1. Well, theirs the D'marzio D activator and Seymour Duncan blackouts, of course accompanied by a good distortion pedal/finding the sweet spot....Wah pedal's have nothing to do with helping ph's scream!!!

  2. I think Zakk uses a wah pedal to help get those harmonics to scream.  And obviously harmonics on the neck pickup don't work out as well. Oh, and you need lots and lots of overdrive:-)

  3. Yeah EMG 81'S should do the trick for you.

Look for pickups with higher output, they should really enhance your pinch harmonics. You could always go for:

    Seymour Duncan Invaders

Seymour Duncan Parallel Axis Trembuckers (but you'll need to check Ebay for those, I think they've stopped production)

    Dimarzio Evolutions

    EMG 81's

I have Dimebuckers in mine and they own hard when it come's to pinch harmonics.

I got a bit of that info from this website

    http://www.gearslutz.com/board/low-end-t...

Check it out it should really help.
