  1. i´ve been once in Munich...and check out the "Viktualien Markt"

the so-called Market, famous one. There are some good

Museums, if you like...the "english garden" is also a Must..even I havent been there.

Munich is nice..but why you dont decide to come to Hamburg..LOL...my city! Joking...have fun when you go visit Munich.

btw: If you can....and wont be superficial...try to avoid the Oktober-fest. It has started now...and the most people outside from Germany, think thats the coolest thing...its so cheesy!

    bye

  2. Allianz arena, etc. thats to much to see there. you can read its information in wikipedia and Munich's official website below.

  3. The Viktualienmarkt is a really good idea, they have loads of museums (Alte Pinakothek, Neue Pinakothek) and lovely churches, but one of the best things to see is the "Deutsches Museum",  an incredibly interesting , interactive technology museum. Even absolute technophobes grudgingly admit that they like it! If you can arrange it and have time, try to visit at least one of LudwigII's palaces, they are only a short railway trip away, if you go to Herrenchiemsee you can also visit a medieval monastery on the other island at the same time.

Whatever you do, have lots of fun!

    Viel Spaß!

  4. If you really want to see something interesting in sublime Munich, go to Schwabing-it's a neighborhood rather like New York's Greenwich Village.  While there, say "hello" to "die Agnesstraße" for me-God I miss my old haunt.

If you like food, have  a look at the Alois Dalmyer Emporium, but whatever you do, MAKE SURE you visit the "Theatinerkirche" on the "Theatinerstraße."  It's simply beautiful.  Car nuts will be in heaven in the BMW Museum and the "Deutsches Museum" replete with everything from vintage prewar cars to a replica of a salt mine.

I think in Munich (München) you will be pleasantly surprised, by the chic city and its earthy, albeit sophisticated  people.

  5. Marienplatz, Olympiapark, Hofbrauhaus, Nymphenburg,  Allianz Stadium, ride the U-bahn...there's so many! Augsburg is also a nice city...it's smaller and cleaner than Munich but still offers a lot. If you get a chance, go visit.  Also, If you have time take a ride on the autobahn out to Dinkelsbuhl and Rothenburg...both very charming places, with great restaurants, good shopping and friendly people. Have a great time!!!!
