  1. You really need to get out and explore the states for yourself. It sounds as if you are looking to move right away but take a week or so and rent a car and travel through some of the states. I live in Las Vegas and I really would not suggest living here because the people kinda suck as they really are not all that friendly. I lived in Chicago and the people there were awesome really friendly. There is a big difference between the western states, the central states, and the eastern states. Cheap and good employment are good factors to look for but weather??? You like it hot, cold, rainy, sunny, humid? Do you want to live in the country, suburbs, or urban area? I was just in Anchorage 4 weeks ago and to me I would love it there except for the winters. SO I really suggest that you take a little time to do research and if you can get out to some of the states that you are interested in so you have an idea as to what you are getting yourself into beofre you move anywhere!

  2. Lots of places are cheap and fun, but you didn't say anything about what you like and what your interests are.  Since you were never out of Alaska, there is so much to explore.

What you need to do is go to the library and read books about all the different states to VISIT.  You should try visiting places before trying to settle and live there.  It can be very expensive to rent an apartment in someplace, like say NY or California, then decide you hate it and want to move.

See if you can get a friend to travel with you and stay at Youth Hostels where it is cheap so you can visit several places.

  3. I dont know why you want to move from alaska why dont you just visit all of the other states and find out where you like first before you move.
