Which place is a better place to live?

Question

My fiance has the option to move with his company, we get a thousand dollars from them to move with, and we get 500 dollars a month for living.

The only two places we can move are Aspen Colorado or Jackson, WY. We both ski and would get free ski passes. Which one would ya'll choose and why? I'm not sure I want to move out west, as I'm from Roanoke, VA and love where I live. He said it would only be for one year and then we'd move back. I need some motivation as to which place would be better to live, which place would be cheaper to live? Which place has more to do for a couple in their 20s? I'd have to find a job so which has better opportunities for a photojournalist?

Aspen would have the most exciting nightlife and job opportunities, but would be WAY more expensive.... It's also "trendier", so, if you want a little more "laid-back", go to WY

As a photojournalist, I think you'd find a job much easier in Aspen vs Jackson.
