I assume your asking bout IT jobs.

If that's the case, Sydney has the bulk of the IT jobs. You could give Perth a shot as well given that it's going through a boom now with the mining industry. Personally, i'd go in the order below

Sydney

Perth

Melbourne

Brisbane

There is no city in Australia that is bad for jobs, but you won't get any more detailed information than that without saying what type of job you are after. I doubt there is much work for astronauts or lion tamers for example.

Sorry, missed the IT part of your question. The best opportunities would be in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane depending on what IT field you specialise in. Sydney and Melbourne are best for banking, finance and general corporate IT. Perth and Brisbane would be best for mining related jobs and SAP. Brisbane is good for SSL & other security IT.

Depends what job you want and what city you want to live in, and that goes for the climate too.

Depends on the IT speciality.

Are you SAP, Cisco or Microsoft certified?

If not, then just a degree is pretty useless except for entry level stuff.

Network Administrators, and SAP Professionals are in big demand in Perth.

Going rates are about $120K.

Game Programmers are required in some new venture in Perth.

Dunno about the pay thou.

Any city really, be aware australian it professionals are not as highly paid as in other countries, this is the reason they move to England and America where they are paid double the salary.
