Well it does depend on where your flying to and where your flying from - not all airlines fly between all destinations - so choose where you want to go, then find which airlines fly there, then choose who you want to fly with.  You may base your choice purely on the cheapest - or may choose to pay a little more for better service or seats etc.   It's entirely up to you who you actually fly with.
