Though Pluto has the largest year, Its not a planet. Its a dwarf planet. The real "planet" with the longest year is Nep tune It takes 165 Earth Years to complete one year. That is, in Neptune you wouldnt even survive for 6 months!!!

it would be pluto, but since its not considered a planet anymore, i would have to say Neptune...

but they found 3 other plantes.... beyond pluto and im not sure if they are in our galaxy or not

A "year" is defined as the time it takes a planet to complete one orbit of the sun.  The farther out from the sun you go the longer time is the orbit.

Neptune is the farthest planet from the sun.  It takes Neptune 164 years for one complete orbit.  Interestingly Neptune was discovered in 1846 which is only 162 years ago.  Neptune has yet to complete a single orbit since discovery.

The further the orbit is away from the Sun, the longer it's path and the slower it travels, so if you count "putoids" as a kind of planet then Eris is the answer, otherwise it would be Neptune, a gas giant type of planet.

It depends on whether you mean regular planet of dwarf planet.

The time it takes to orbit the sun is related to distance from the sun - so Neptune has the longest year f the regular planets.

But once we get into Dwarf planets - it gets esoteric. It certainly isn't Pluto - because Eris is further out.

Sedna would be my pick - although I'm not sure is the IAU has decided whether to class it as a dwarf planet or not yet...
