  1. Definitely the HOOKER.

The numbering system adopted in Rugby League is the opposite to that used in Rugby Union. The fullback in union is No.15 but is No.1 in league.

  2. nine jersey in the hookers in rugby league

  3. In todays game the number 9 jersey represents the hooker / dummy-half.

    8 - Prop (Front Row) 9 - Hooker 10 - Prop (Front Row)

    11 - Second Row 12 - Second Row

    13 - Lock

In the past, the numbers of forwards were in reverse order of today.  Therefore, if you watch an older game, the number 9 jersey represents the second rower.

    13 - Prop (Front Row) 12 - Hooker 11 - Prop (Front Row)

    10 - Second Row 9 - Second Row

    8 - Lock

  4. If you want to know about International Rugby League it is the hooker such as Terry Newton, Kieron Cunningham, Ian Henderson etc. If you want to know about club League, it depends....most clubs do vaguely stick to the numbering system used in Internationals such as Full back #1, Scrum Half #7, Stand Off #6, Open prop #10, Loose Forward #13. BUT there are exceptions such as Jamie Langley, the Bradford LF wearing number 16, or Robbie Paul in his time with the Bulls wearing #1 but being a half back.

  5. Scrum Half
