You can choose different players for each situation or the same player.

a) need to score two points?

b) need a three pointer?

c) need a defensive stop on a star shooting guard/small forward?

d) need a defensive stop on a star big man?

e) need a defensive stop on a star point guard?

f) need an offensive rebound?

g) need a defensive rebound?

h) need to win one game to advance in the playoffs?

Give reasons why you picked a player for that particular situation.

Use current players only.

  1. A) Allen Iverson (Great at drawing fouls, and is almost automatic from the foul line)

    B) Ray Allen (Known for his great perimeter shooting)

    C) LeBron James (With his aggresiveness, can easily pressure a star to turnover the ball)

    D) Shawn Marion (Great defense, and is quicker compared to other PF/C)

    E) Kobe Bryant (Can switch to defend a smaller point guard such as AI, and give pressure to force turnover)

    F) Drew Gooden (Best known for his offensive rebounding with the Cavaliers, before being traded to Chicago)

    G) Kevin Garnett (Has led the league in this catagory many times, and is better, defensive rebounding wise to a young Dwight Howard)

    H) Dwyane Wade (Gold Medal Game- enough said)

  2. T-mac in all these situitions

  3. a.lebron james

    b.ray allen

    c.shane battier

    d.marcus camby

    e.allen iverson

    f.chris kamon

    g.dwight howard

h.tracey mcgrady cuz he would make it to get out of the 1st round

  4. one word, kobe

  5. a, i would take lebron. hes too strong and gets to the line at will, which will force the d to foul (if they are fast enough, cough cough wizards), and when the stakes are high his free throw percentage rises as well. nearly 80%.

b, either ray allen or nash: nash is extremely clutch. his fadaway three against the spurs was just an incredible shot. his game against the nets a couple yours a ago was just a testament to how good of a long ride thooder he is. ray allen, so clutch for the celtics when they needed that 3 pointer (game vs. toronto, gm versus bobcats, and in seatle game versus suns)

c, tayshaun prince: i felt that his size and length would make it very hard for the offensive player to score. i take him over bowen simply because hes younger.

d, kevin garnett: it was a toss up bewteen him and duncan. i feel that garnett is the better 1 on 1 stopper plus hes excellent at poking hte ball away. which gives him the edge

e: chauncey billups: very strong which forces the smaller but quicker guards into more difficult shots. billups is a good defender and is not as slow as ppl think he is. i feel that his combinatino of size and strength is the key

f, tyson chandler: led the leagues in ofensive rebounding this year. foster led the league in offensive rebouding percentage at just under 15% but hes no threat to make that shot where as tyson actually can do something with the bal,

g,dwight howard easily, just a monster at rebounding, grabbed 30% of all defensive rebounds, thats why he led te nba in rebounding,

h,this one was tough it was either lebron or tim duncan but id have to say timmy. his game 7 performance against the hornets only soldfiied my reasoning. hes made countless clutch plays and is truly a winner. his stats may not be as pretty as lebrons or kobes, etc. but none of the less he gets the job done

  6. a)Kobe Bryant/LeBron James/Tim Duncan

    B)Kobe Bryant/Steve Nash

    C)Ron Artest/Tayshaun Prince/Andrei Kirilenko

    D)Marcus Camby/Andrei Kirilenko

    E)Bruce Bowen

    F)Tyson Chandler

    G)Dwight Howard

    H)Kobe Bryant/Tracy McGrady

  7. a) kobe bryant, best in clutch situations

    b) ray allen, best three point shooter

    c) tayshaun prince, long arms

    d) idk

    e) brandon roy, size and smart

    f) dwight howard

    g) dwight howard

    h) this always changes

  8. i would say JJ REDDICK!!

  9. A) Kobe Bryant - Clutch! How many times have you seen Kobe win or extend a game with one shot?

    B) Steve Nash - It's was either him or Ray Allen, but I've seen Nash win or extend a game on 3 pointers more often. Plus the's a career 43% shooter from deep.

    C) Tayshaun Prince - Great defender, who has the size and wingspan to cover almost any SF/SG and the quickness to stay with them.

    D) Tim Duncan - Like Prince on SF/SG's, Duncan has the size to guard both the C/PF position. He can hold his position and bother or block the shot when he's locked in.

    E) Chauncey Billups - Very solid defensively and isn't likely to blown by on a game deciding play. Plus he's tall and huge for a point guard at 6'3" 210 pounds.

    F) Dwight Howard - No one matches up with him in terms of size/athleticism/physically as far as big men go. Offensive rebounding is an exact science, but I'd put my money on Howard given I need one to seal a victory.

    G) Tim Duncan - He's probably the best rebounder in the league when he gets minutes. He's averaged only 33 minutes a game the last 3 seasons, yet he's still managed to averaged 11 rebounds a game; and he's no joke come playoff time.

    H) Lebron James - My first though would be Kobe or Duncan, but Lebron can do one thing better than Kobe and Duncan; create for his teammates. If he doesn't give you 40 points, he'll still manage 10 assist and get others involved.

  10. Allen Iverson is the right answer in this situation

  11. Kobeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Bryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaant!

  12. Lebron James

  13. ALLEN IVERSON!!!!!!!! need i explain the name speaks for it self

  14. a) Kobe Bryant (the most clutch player in the game today)

    b) Ray Allen (everytime the celtics needed a 3 the ball would go to him, hit some key shots throughout the season for the celts)

    c) Bruce Bowen (one of the best perimeter defenders in the game)

    d) Kevin Garnett (defensive player of the year, steps up in clutch situations)

    e) Lindsey Hunter (frustrates ballhandlers)

    f) Dwight Howard (a rebounding machine)

    g) Dwight Howard (same reason as above)

    h) Kobe Bryant (i think everyone would no the reason)
