My friends tried to teach me this weekend and I got a teeny tiny bit of the concept... Id like a site online where I can learn and practice so they dont have to spend time doing that and cant just play!

Try Pokerstars. They have some great software, and they offer free play at a couple levels. At the base level the play is pretty bad, but once you have earned some chips, you can play at the higher levels and enjoy a pretty good game.

Practice and practice and practice. Then practice some more before you even consider playing for real money!
