One shot on the black,nominate pocket on the black.Two shots don,t carry and certainly no picking up the ball.Plus if theres a D on the table use it.

BCA (ball in hand rules AKA world standardized rules)  Only way to play!

BCA is the best, unless you're in Thailand, then anything goes...just don't play a random Russian dude for money! Speaking from experience...they DO NOT like to lose!

not sure on what the specific rules are called but here we ask if we are playing one shot carry or two. I prefer one, two is for girls

i don't mind the rules

BUT I DO NOT PLAY WITH MY DAD N UNCLE WHEN THEY ARE around, they got the rubisisest rules in the world

they believe when ur on the black, if u had two shots u still got 2 on the black, me n my bro believe one the back only one shot no matter what!

btw i only play yahooo 8 ball pool rules, u can mess with thoses

I will only play "Serious" pool by world standard rules

Not an expert on UK Rules thats why you dont see me answer questions about them

Bar rules are nothing but diffrent sets of house rules,That are for the most part nothing more than a joke that has a diffrent punch line from area to area-nothing standard about them -Seems like a hundred years ago but I played in one bar league We had 23 bars that we played at and their were at least 6 diffrent sets of "bar rules" we had to follow,Never again But we did get 1st Place

Well I don't really know what world rules and UK rules and that are..

But I think that..

- You should be allowed 2 shots on the black if your opponent has fouled.

- You should be allowed to hit the ball backwards when you're playing from the D after your opponent fouled.

- You shouldn't have to nominate a pocket, if it's in it's in!

- That thing about having to hit the cushion or potting shouldn't be a rule.

- Free balls confuse me anyway.

World Standardized rules are the only way to play if it's a competition. If it's not a competition, do whatever you want. UK Pool is a completely different game than 8 Ball though, so that's no different than saying you prefer 9 Ball to 8 Ball. Local or "House" rules are just stupid.

I am not familiar with the ones listed, but I would choose which ever were closer to BCA or WPBA rules.
