Which position in baseball generally makes the most errors?

obviously an infielder......but which one???

On the Red Sox it's shortstop Julio Lugo.  On the Yankees last year I think it was 3d baseman A-Rod.

None depends on the player but the third baseman can make more just because he gets more opertunites

Yea i've seen alot of errors at 3rd base,but for my Phillies it's Ryan Howard at 1st base aka one of the easiest positions.

It depends id say either 3rd or Short. 3rd you have balls hit very hard at you and sometimes you rush and you have to make a strong and accurate Long throw. And Short has a lot of space to cover and has to make long throws too.

3rd base. Not only do you have to catch very hard line drives, but you have to throw the ball quite far to get it to first to put out the runner. Sometimes the 3rd baseman has to dive, get the ball and throw to first which is fantastic if they make the play, but it's very hard to do which creates some of the errors of the 3rd baseman, the 3B will get an error if a throw is "an in between hop" to first base in which the 1B can't make the putout.

3rd base.  They have to play so close sometimes.  But any great player will tell you,"Attack the ball.  Don't let the ball attack you."

I would say 3rd base, it can be a tough position getting line drives and bunts to your side all the time.

Mostly 3rd base because its where they get linedrives hit right at them  

and look at the leaders in errors...I bet most of them would be 3rd basemen

i'd say shortstops generally makes the most errors. it doesnt mean that its the hardest position to play, but it does entail a lot of fielding because statistically more grounders are within the shortstop's range and that present a lot of chances for fielding to go wrong. plus, having to be one to be turning a double play adds to the chance of committing an error.
