I have heard republicans saying that Obama hasn't done anything in the senate and that he has been campaigning since he got in there, and talking about his voting record. As it turns out, he has actually missed less votes then his competitor McCain.

Missed Votes

Barack Obama has missed 290 votes (45.5%) during the current Congress. See a list of his missed votes since 1991 or see a full list of vote missers.

Why don't you try his older votes.. http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/members/o000167/votes/page2/

Missed Votes

John McCain has missed 407 votes (63.8%) during the current Congress. See a list of his missed votes since 1991 or see a full list of vote missers.

  1. good point.. I'll just add to his supposed "inexperience"

Obama has worked with Republicans to pass legislation that expanded efforts to intercept illegal shipments of weapons of mass destruction and to help destroy conventional weapons stockpiles. The legislation became law last year. To demean that accomplishment would be to also demean the work of Republican Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana, a respected foreign policy voice in the Senate. In Illinois, he was the leader on two big, contentious measures in Illinois: studying racial profiling by police and requiring recordings of interrogations in potential death penalty cases. He also successfully co-sponsored major ethics reform legislation.

  2. thank you for info it is interesting makes you wonder if he will work that hard huh?

  3. McCain, along with missing more votes than Obama, has the idea that the economy is working. Look it up. There are video clips of him saying that the economy is working. Let's look at real issues, people, not what someone's military record is.

  4. Yes, it is exactly what I thought it would be!

    Obama/Biden 2008

  5. It's NICE to see someone CARES about these things... The PROBLEM is, most Americans DON'T !  Unless you bribe them into listening to a Political Debate with Beer, Pretty Girls & Dancing Bears (preferably from Chicago),-people could care LESS! ...So if you REALLY want to catch anyones "attention..." -Try explaining to people how "difficult" it must be for Sarah Palin to govern a State the "size" of Alaska... (And GOOD LUCK with achieving even THAT! ) .  :)
