I need two letters of recommendation for graduate school. I asked two professors last spring and received one (Prof. A) already and I am waiting to receive one from another professor (Prof. B) who I know will do an excellent job. The problem is...I spent a good deal of time these past few months with another professor (Prof. C) who knows me better than Prof. A. I am considering having Prof. C write me a letter and just trashing the letter from Prof. A. What do you think?

  1. Go with your instincts.

If you think Prof C is much better off, then ask him to write you a letter.

If I were you, I would ask both Prof A and Prof C to kindly write  me letters.

    Hope this helps

  2. Get as many letters of recommendation as you can get.  Read them over and see which one "brags you up the best".  You can never have too many letters....I already have 4, and haven't graduated yet...haha.  Never trash them...they will come in handy someday!
