  1. Well there are all the same but the:

all newer PS3s use less power, And are a bit cooler than the other ones.

Like the 20gb,60gb and 80gb will be a little but hotter and use a little more power but:

The 40gb, the new 80gb and the new 160gb, Will/Do use less power and be a little cooler.

Not a really big differences in Heat/Power, just a little one tho.

  2. All the ps3s you mentioned have the exact same hardware specifications, except the 40 gb doesn't have the emulator of the 80 and the ps2 components in the 60 that allow backward compatibility. Also the 40 gb lacks a few flash drive ports and media card reader port but that's not a factor. Basically, ALL the models of the ps3 have EQUAL amount of time on their hands, which is to say, a REALLY long time, because they were built really well.

You can't say which lasts the longest because they all have the same hardware. The sizes of their chips differ - they say the 40gb is better at regulating heat bec it has the smallest chip, but I haven't seen that proven anywhere. Ps3 systems are solid, go for any one of the 3 and you'll be happy.

If you mean lasts the longest in terms of memory storage... then obviously the 80gb has more space, so that would take longer to fill up.

  3. They all look almost exactly the same. The old 80 gig was made for the longest time.

It also has the most hard drive space and would probably not need to be upgraded for the longest time if that is what you mean.
