The Grand Theft Auto games are, by far, the best games on the PSP platform. Highly recommended.

I got Lemmings which is fun.  I also have all of the old anthologies like Atari, Capcom, etc.  These come in handy because often you have like ten minutes to play and with the other games you wont reach a save point in time and will lose your progress, so a quick game of galaxian, centipede, whatever will pass the time and be fun.  I even have one that is board games where you can play online or with a second person, that way you can play and involve whoever you happen to be waiting with.

I have Syphon Filter and Killzone, both are very good.  I am going to get the Metal Gear games next.  They are also well reviewed.  

Grand Theft Auto isnt a bad choice either.

I have a subscription to Gamestops magazine and use their reviews to get an idea of what games are good.  CNET also reviews the games and leaves the reviews up on their website.
