  1. University of Delaware and Bloomsburg University

  2. Stony Brook has a very good Anthropology Department and was rated 3rd in the country at one point under Harvard and Duke.  Many of the professors there are well educated, ambitious and active in their respective fields.  Dr. Richard Leakey (son of Louis Leakey) is an active staff member at USB and because it's a state university, expense is not a big issue.

  3. I know that in last 10 years ASU has become more and more invested in Anthropology.

  4. It depends on which kind of anthropology you are interested. For example, University of Texas is a good school if you like cultural or literary anthropology, Ohio State is good if you are into a highly scientific and quantitative approach, University of Georgia is good if your interests run ecological and environmental, and University of California at Davis has both cultural and evolutionary strengths. If you are applying to graduate school, choosing a university anthro department is a very personal decision that depends on one's personal areas of focus, the type of advising environment one wants, and the strength of faculty in a particular department. Try narrowing it down by looking for faculty who would make good advisers.

    Hope this helps!
