Which pubs in East London do a good Sunday Roast?

I'm arranging for a group of friends to go to a pub in East London -- Hackney / Stokey / Dalston -- for a Sunday Roast. . It also needs to be reasonably priced and of decent quality. Preferably traditional style roast than a fancy gastropub type.

  1. TRY this place,

    GRAPES

    76 Narrow Street,

    Limehouse,

    London,

    E14 8BP

( it is a NO children allowed pub)

  2. Try any J.D. Wetherspoon's pub they do very nice meals, also try looking in a local paper of Hackney. Hackney council covers Stoke-Newington and Dalston as well as Hackney it self. To find a J.D. Wetherspoons try there web sight, I know there is a Wetherspoons opposite Hackney Town Hall.

hope this has helped you. if you don't mind travelling out to Barking try the Old Dog near Barking station(district line (not the Wetherspoon barking dog))

  3. While you are on that paticular train line, pop along to Stratford and try the King Edward (The Eddy). 47 Broadway.

They do good Sunday roasts and have a great selection of beers, wines and lagers.

The pub is atmospheric, has a beer garden.

Not as cheap as Wetherspoons, but better.
