I was going to get the Cameron but I saw an infomercial on the Rife and I would just like to know, preferably from people who have tried both, which is the best.

  1. try both . the cameron is for country club speed greens . very light . the two bar heavier . camron is not a weekend golfers putter limited forgivness , rifle more forgiving . intermediate levelputter cameron sdvanced golfer putter

  2. Go with the Scotty Cameron.  Better choice for the long run.

  3. It's preference of weither you want a mallet or a blade putter.  There is a perfect putter, but it's a different putter for every person.

  4. You should go to a local dealer and try both out.  If there truly was one putter better then all the rest, it would be the only one used on the PGA tour.  Obviously that isn't the case.  You need to find out which works best for your game.

  5. I had the Rife putter for a while. The infomercial is true. The ball rolls pure. Good luck controlling your distance though. The club is great from 10-30 feet. Inside 10 feet though I felt i pushed everything long because it was to heavy. I even tried switching the weights but for no good results. After about 20 rounds i noticed the face on the Guerin Rife was very dinged. I believe its because the face is just a little too soft. I did use my head cover at every occasion as well.  Overall i would say that the Guerin Rife is nothing more than a pure roll. In all, I would rate it a 5 out of 10. I was never confident with it.

I went to the Ping G5i zing, and will never go back. In fact ill never hit a mallet putter again. Never buy a club before you hit it though. You can find Guerin Rife putters at golf mart, and Golfsmith, so at least try it before you buy it.

I have never used a Scotty Cameron before. I have never heard anyone say they didn't like the one they were using though. In fact none of those people would even let me try it. I say go with Scotty if you can afford it. You will enjoy.

  6. It ain't about the bows and arrows - everyone has their own feel and preference.  You should try them both, but you can't go wrong with a Cameron.  They have wonderful balance and feel.
