Which railroad from NY to PA?

What railroad would i take from NY to get to PA. I live on long island and trying to see what railroad lines would take to that area or out of state?

passenger direct is amtrak

or you can do LIRR to NJ and NJ Transit to Philly or Tenton and then SEPTA.

if I recall Long Island  trains end at Penn station not grand centra

then amtrak

Probably Amtrak.

Your best bet would most likely be to take the LIRR to Manhattan, switch at grandcentral, and then hop on an Amtrak down to PA.

Also look into switching at Newark, NJ Penn Station, it may be quicker depending on the schedule for that day.
