  1. definitely the second one. rats like to climb

  2. The 1st one is better.

  3. number 1

  4. I wouldn't get any of those ones. Don't think i'm being rude, But the bar spaces are too wide, and there isn't enough room for the rat to climb.

They need to climb around. I have 6 rats and find the ferplast Jenny rat cage is good...

They have plenty of space to climb, it has doors at the front back and top.and there's lots of room to put toys etc.

Trust me, rats are escape artists and if they are in a cage too small they will find a way out or it will drive them mad.

  5. second 1 thats the better 1 as it has levels and rats need levels

  6. the third, one like she said, looks sturdy and pretty spacious, you dont want ur rat to be all squished in a little cage, now do ya?

  7. The 3rd one.

It looks more sturdy and comes with that little bed thing.

  8. If it was my rat (and I've raised them professionally for stores to sell as pets), I'd get the cage from Petsmart, or one like that.  It's a good cage for a rat, since they don't need a wheel (which are for hamsters and gerbils) and it's large enough for one rat to be very comfortable.  I like the 'depth' of the bottom, since rats usually have their 'bathrooms' in the corner, and can pee 'high' so the urine gets out of the cage and stinks.  Line the bottom with at least 25 pieces of newspaper, flat, and then put torn strips (tear the long way) in for the rat to build a nest.  Rats do better with newspaper, and it's much less expensive, than the 'pine litter' the stores sell.  Have a good water bottle and keep the food off the floor (a bird dish is wonderful for feeding a rat) and you'll be good to go.  Feed your rat every day, and change the water in the bottle every day and you'll have a happy, healthy rat until it dies of old age ... between 2-3 years.

  9. I've had rats before. The first cage has slots that are wayyy too big. Rats are little escape artists that like figuring out ways to get out! That would make it wayyy too easy. I'd go with the second one out of these... But Petco makes a really nice universal small animal cage that is about the size of the ones your looking at... The one at Petco also has a built in wheel which is a necessity for your little guy. My rats all LOVE hammocks also. The ones they make for ferrets work well or you can make your own.

  10. None of these. Why?

    #1 - it's a low cage with big slots

#2 - it would be aceptable, but it has shelves made of bars

    #3 - again...too low for a rat

Don't be angry at me please...I have 3 rats and an experience.

Rats need a higher cage, they like to climb and do some exercise.

Slots mustn't be wide, they are good runaways.

They (also my rats) love to have a rest on the shelves, so it's not best, if they're made of bars...

Try to find something like this>>>

  11. the first one looks very big, but it's too empty, might make the rat feel boring.

the second one looks very nice cause rat likes to climb but kinda small.

the third one nice, but kinda small, and i have a feeling the rat is gonna destroy the bed ( if it is ) very soon.

however The Rat Lodge (R-680) looks nice cause it's bigger than 670.

well i would say 680 on the second one!!!

  12. the first one
