I'm looking to start fishing again, after only having done very light, almost-not-worth-mentioning fishing when I was a kid. My rod is a Silstar Power Tip 6'0 8-20lb, which I gave a good clean, and is in working order. I had a Shakespeare Pro-Am 20/40 reel which could hold 6 -10lb line, but unfortunately it's kinda effed! My question is... what reel should I buy that will best match my rod? I plan on fishing for carp mainly, but I'll probably dabble in anything I can, including some smaller catfish. I know there are specialist carp outfits and all that, but I wanna get into it first. I saw a Hemingway HZ 2000 on special which I liked very much. The only thing I noticed is that it holds 4 - 8lb line, and it holds quite a bit less line than my old reel. Is this a problem? Is it too light for my rod? This is really confusing! Oh, and as a last note, given the choice, I would like to have my tackle on the light side rather than the heavy side. More fun that way :) And more of a challenge
