Question:

Which religion is the most true?

I was never raised with religion, so I don't really care about it. Religion is meant to be tested, that's why there are so many holes and different outfits for "leaders." If one religion was proven 100%, wouldn't we all have converted by now?

Since you clicked on it, chances are you do care about and are ready to debate with lengthy paragraphs about your religion and how any other is false, yeah?

Controversial for a reason. I want to see how people see their religion to the depths.

  1. The one and only Church upon the face of the whole Earth that holds the true and authorized Priesthood of God is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". (Mormon)

This means that the ordinances performed by the proper Priesthood Authority WILL BE RECOGNIZED BY GOD AS VALID...

and that is really what it comes down to...for example if a couple of people are out swimming and one guy grabs his friend and dunks him...that doesn't count as a valid baptism...

likewise, a person who is baptised by someone who God has not appointed also will result in a situation where it isn't recognized by God as a valid ordinance of salvation...

the key is that a baptism (or other ordinance) must be done in the proper way at the proper time BY THE PROPER PRIESTHOOD AUTHORITY...and since baptism is essential to salvation:

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

it is important to choose the true Priesthood.

So how can you know for yourself that the Mormon Church is God's Church?

The key is personal revelation...God will show you directly!

You must do your part however...you must sincerely ask God in the name of Jesus Christ if it is true.

There are also special helps that God has given us so that we can know for ourselves...One way is that God has a living prophet and apostles on the Earth...you can listen to them and the Holy Spirit will confirm to you that what they are saying is true..

also there is the "Book of Mormon"...this Book contains a special promise called "The Book of Mormon Promise" the missionaries could explain it to you fully, but the promise from God is basically that you read the Book of Mormon with a sincere heart desiring to know if it is true, then you ask God in the name of Jesus Christ if the book is true...then God will manifest the truth of that Book to you by the power of the Holy Ghost.

so basically that is how I (or anyone) can know which Church is true.

When Jesus Christ was on earth He chose apostles and they held the true authority (Priesthood) to act in His name...

There was a "Great Apostasy" (after Christ and apostles were killed)

and the true Priesthood was lost from the Earth for a long time.

In these latter days that same Priesthood has been restored through the instrumentality of the prophet Joseph Smith...to read about his story you can click this link:

  2. Is Christianity the One True Religion?

Yes, Christianity is the one true religion. That may sound awfully dogmatic and narrow-minded, but the simple truth is that Christianity is the only true religion. Jesus said that He alone was the way to the Father (John 14:6), that He alone revealed the Father (Matt. 11:27; Luke 10:22). Christians do not go around saying Christianity is the only way because they are arrogant, narrow-minded, stupid, and judgmental. They do so because they believe what Jesus said. They believe in Jesus, who claimed to be God (John 8:58; Exodus 3:14), who forgave sins (Mark 2:5; Luke 5:20; 7:48), and who rose from the dead (Luke 24:24-29; John 2:19f). Jesus said that He was the only way. Jesus is unique. He was either telling the truth, He was crazy, or He was a liar. But since everyone agrees that Jesus was a good man, how then could He be both good and crazy, or good and a liar? He had to be telling the truth. He is the only way.

Christianity is not just a religion; it is a relationship with God. It is a trusting in Jesus and what He did on the cross (1 Cor. 15:1-4), not on what you can do for yourself (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Buddha didn't rise from the dead, nor did Confucius or Zoroaster. Muhammad didn't fulfill detailed prophecy. Alexander the Great didn't raise the dead or heal the sick. And though there is far less reliable information written about them, they are believed in.

The scripture is right when it says in 1 Pet. 2:7-8, "This precious value, then, is for you who believe. But for those who disbelieve, 'The stone which the builders rejected, this became the very corner stone,' and, 'A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense'; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed." (NASB).

The Mathematical Odds of Jesus Fulfilling Prophecy

"The following probabilities are taken from Peter Stoner in Science Speaks (Moody Press, 1963) to show that coincidence is ruled out by the science of probability. Stoner says that by using the modern science of probability in reference to eight prophecies, ‘we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 1017." That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. In order to help us comprehend this staggering probability, Stoner illustrates it by supposing that "we take 1017 silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that this is the right one. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man."

Stoner considers 48 prophecies and says, "we find the chance that any one man fulfilled all 48 prophecies to be 1 in 10157, or 1 in 10,00,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,... 000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,... 000,000,000."

(This information was taken from the book Evidence that Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell.)

The estimated number of electrons in the universe is around 1079. It should be quite evident that Jesus did not fulfill the prophecies by accident. He was who He said He was: the only way (John 14:6).

  3. There's no such thing as most true.

Truth doesn't have degrees. It either is or it isn't.

Since all religion is BS, a better way to ask your question would be, "which religion is the least full of sh*t."

  4. Ach, laddie, do ye know a TRUE Scotsman?

    None are true.

  5. My own religion is the most true -- for me.

You might find a religion that speaks to you, and that would be the one true religion for you. We're different, so we have different ways of looking at this question, and different ways of approaching God, so it's hardly surprising that we have different religions.

Some people hunger for the one perfect answer, and the rigid belief systems have a strong appeal to these folks.

Some people need their religion to be orderly and repetitive, and there are elaborate liturgical denominations that serve their needs.

Some people worship the Unknown God, focusing on the basic unknowable nature of God's, and there are denominations that speak to that uncertain quality of God.

Some people want to worship a God without controls and rules, and there are denominations that address those needs.

Some people feel drawn to one or more particular aspects of God's word, and if there are enough of them, denominations arise to meet their needs.

Some denominations also are based on ethnicity or national origin.

That TRUTH you are seeking is out there, but you won't find your truth by looking at mine -- or at least I don't expect that you will. You will find your truth when you truly know yourself, and know what it is that you truly need, and then go out to find it.

It is written, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

  6. eh well their is no 100% religion soooo idc

  7. None.

Why do you call the TRUTH, "religious bias c**p?"

Because that's what it is, the TRUTH.

    Deist

  8. no-religion is the only true religion

  9. Jesus is the only way,  he said I am the way  and once  you let him into your life  you would  know that.

  10. There isn't any religion which is 100% true. Pick a path which you are comfortable following or make your own.

  11. There is no religion that is more true than any other.  Even the small little cults, like this starseed thing i've read about this morning, is just as valid as any other religion.  Every religion out there started out as a small little something first, with a handful of followers, be it islam, hinduism, the various pagan religions, whether it was started in 1000 BCE, 30 CE, or 2004 CE, at some point everything was new.

What matters is how does that religion affect YOU, and what kind of person does it make you.  My religion makes me strong, makes me proud, tells me to stand up for myself.  That is why I like it.  For some, that would seem completely opposite to what they want or need or expect from their religion. To them, it humbles them, and puts them in their place in this world.  That is fine, that is what they need.   Christianity as a personal faith (don't get me started on the church institutions) is just as valid to that person who willfully follows it, as Heathenry is to me, as Hinduism is to the Hindu, as Satanism is to the LaVey Satanist.  Its all a personal experience and matter.

Therefore, what religion is more true?  All of them and none of them.

  12. your own heart/mind/soul/conscience

Statements based on logic and reason are more true than statements based on faith, hearsay, popular opinion, or superstition.

So long as the logic and reasoning are not faulty or contradictory.

  13. You'll never go wrong with relying on Einstein's opinion, which is Buddhism. It's the closest to describing the divine.

  14. Nah, I clicked on it because there is no true religion and it all a waste of time. Just wanted my 2 cents.

  15. Why not search my questions & decide for your self .

  16. The one the most mystical.

    God love you!

  17. I do believe my church to be the true church of God and have studied it in depth (personally, in Sunday school, and in college courses at UFL and BYU).

But I won't debate it with people to be controversial.  I believe the Lord has admonished us to not do this as contention drives out the Spirit, and if the Spirit is not present, no one can have the truth testified to them by the Spirit.  It is not my responsibility to convert others, that isthe Spirit's job.  I am simply here to show my faith's pov and dispute people that say obviously false things about my faith.

  18. 1. Jesus started one true Christian religion. So today there must be just one body, or group, of true worshipers of Jehovah God. (John 4:23, 24; Ephesians 4:4, 5) The Bible teaches that only a few people are on the narrow road to life.—Matthew 7:13, 14.

    2. The Bible foretold that after the death of the apostles, wrong teachings and unchristian practices would slowly come into the Christian congregation. Men would draw away believers to follow them instead of Christ. (Matthew 7:15, 21-23; Acts 20:29, 30) That is why we see so many different religions that claim to be Christian. How can we identify true Christians?

    3. The most outstanding mark of true Christians is that they have real love among themselves. (John 13:34, 35) They are not taught to think that they are better than people of other races or skin color. Neither are they taught to hate people from other countries. (Acts 10:34, 35) So they do not share in wars. True Christians treat one another as brothers and sisters.—1 John 4:20, 21.

    4. Another mark of true religion is that its members have a deep respect for the Bible. They accept it as the Word of God and believe what it says. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17) They treat God's Word as being more important than human ideas or customs. (Matthew 15:1-3, 7-9) They try to live by the Bible in their everyday life. So they do not preach one thing and then practice another.—Titus 1:15, 16.

True Christians love one another, respect the Bible, and preach about God's Kingdom

    5. The true religion must also honor God's name. (Matthew 6:9) Jesus made God's name, Jehovah, known to others. True Christians must do the same. (John 17:6, 26; Romans 10:13, 14) Who are the people in your community that tell others about God's name?

    6. True Christians must preach about God's Kingdom. Jesus did so. He always talked about the Kingdom. (Luke 8:1) He commanded his disciples to preach this same message in all the earth. (Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20) True Christians believe that only God's Kingdom will bring true peace and security to this earth.—Psalm 146:3-5.

    7. Jesus' disciples must be no part of this wicked world. (John 17:16) They do not get involved in the world's political affairs and social controversies. They avoid the harmful conduct, practices, and attitudes that are common in the world. (James 1:27; 4:4) Can you identify a religious group in your community that has these marks of true Christianity?

  19. religious truth is for you to decide.  i could go on and on about the depth of truth in eclectic paganism, but if it doesn't resonate with you, it's meaningless.

no religion can be 100% true, and any that claims to be is certainly false.

edit: lol, christianity is the only true religion because jesus said so, roflmao.

  20. What kind of question is that? Everybody's answer will be the he/she follows . For example my answer is Islam.

  21. IDK. Walk down the fiction isle and pick a book.

  22. The basic answer to your actual question is, none of them.

For the simple reason that none of them can provide one shred of actual evidence for their claims.
