Name some religions (ancient ones, etc) other than Christianity and Islam that say you'll be condemned forever unless you do and believe as their founders say.

  1. all are a bunch of lairs ,. Muslims are the most fanatics of that c**p ,. if I have to stick around with one of these  would be Christianity ,. but don't confuse with Catholics

  2. Fanaticism, Christianity, and religion are all in the same arena. If you do not obey as they do you will suffer. That's why they are so adamant to tear the rest of us down.

  3. Just the crazy ones.

  4. As far as I have ever heard none. I think most faiths were pretty tolerant up until the Christians. If there was a faith that did this it may have been Akanoten. I know I totally mangled the spelling of his name, I spelled it like it sounds. He was King Tut's dad and threw out the old  gods of Egypt and made the Sun God their 1 true God. It is said that this was the first monotheistic religion. I'm not sure if he persecuted ppl who didn't believe in his God but he did fire the priests....

  5. Mormons (not ancient but crazy)

  6. Islam, Christianity, Judaism are the big ones, because they are very judgmental & sadism-oriented religions.

  7. I believe the origin of faiths claiming others will be punished is a more recent invention of religion.  Most ancient faiths were rather accepting of other beliefs as they were usually pan-theistic.  The creation of monotheistic faiths means that the followers believe only their god is real and if you worship another you are engaging in idol worship that detracts from their god.  Religious traditions among Native Americans and African groups were usually tied to the land or area around them and there was no concept of trying to convert others, if your gods are only in one area converting those far away makes little sense.  The only reason for them to convert was in cases of marriage or capture in war in which case they moved area and changed gods.
