  1. Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism, Judaism and even true Satanism are more widely known along side the ones you mentioned.

  2. Don't forget Asatru. It isn't even reconstructed like other pagan beliefs. The old Norse religion never died, it was still the majority religion in Iceland up until the 1960's.

  3. You forgot the 700,000,000 Hindus

  4. Christianity

    Buddhism

    Hinduism

    Islam (not Muslim)

    Zoroastrianism

Paganism and various nature-based indigenous religions

    Taoism

    Shinto

    Judaism

    Jainism

    Bahai

Those are the ones that come to mind right off the bat.  There may be more.

  5. There are many religions in the world

here are a few sites that list quite a few of those

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_world...

    http://www.adherents.com/Religions_By_Ad...

    http://www.religioustolerance.org/worldr...

    There are millions!

Druidism, Mormonism, Sunni Islam, Rastafari, Paganism, Neopaganism, Wicca, Traditional Wicca, Alexandrian Wicca, Baptist Christian, Roman Catholic, Shamanism, Eclectic Paganism, Islam, Judaism, Jainism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, Satanism, Gardnerian Wicca, Pantheism, Bah'ai, Thelema, Russian Orthodox, Jehovah's Witness, Seax-Wicca, Feri Tradition, Mayahana Buddism, Santeria, Scientology, Toaism, Indiginous religions, Dianic Wicca, Gnosticism, Celtic Reconstru....etc etc etc See what a big task this is? I remember a saying, something like "There are as many religions as there are people."

  7. Don't forget the neopagans:

There are druids, wiccans, satanists, voodoo people, and a whole bunch of other folks that like to resurrect the "old ways".

  8. How many people are on this planet?

    That's how many religions exist.

Religion is nothing more than an individual's opinion of how life should be lived.

And then the inevitable happens, man tries to control other men with superstition and threats of doom and gloom...

"You better give me half your harvest or Bung-bung the corn god will get you !"

New Testament translation: "You better be nice or Dad won't give you the car keys... a cookie... your allowance... whatever..."

    Good luck !

  9. there are:

Jews; we all know about them

Shintoism; the official religion of japan, is often practiced along with

    buddhism

Jainism; they dont believe in violence and only eat vegitables

Athiests; dont believe in a god

Satanism; the church of satan doesnt actually believe in satan, god, jesus, heaven or h**l, its pretty much athism with rules

    scientology; all hail xenu

pastafarian; worship the flying spaghetti monster

greeks; with zues and every one else

native-americanism; worship animal sprits and nature and what not

various cults and other not-so-popular religions; have several other gods and idols and other crazy things, includes greeks and native-americanism

  10. Christianity (in it's multiple forms, including offshoots like Mormonism and Voodooism), Judiasm, Islam, Jainism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Shintoism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, myriad religions of native peoples in Africa, Australia, South America, and North America, nature-centered religions like Wiccanism, and others.

  11. I think your question brings up an important point of the Western world: we think in terms of labels.  If you talked to a Hmong (one of teh 55 ethnic groups living in China, labelled by the Han as "Miao"), they wouldn't say they followed any religion.  They'd probably something like "it's just our way."  Various ethnic groups around the world, most notably in rural Asia, Africa, South America, and Australia, are hardly recognized.  You must also recognize the fact that are countless subsects of the umbrella terms "Christianity," "Judaism," "Islam," "Buddhism," "Hinduism," and "Neo-Pagan."  We also tend to lose the individual in such labels; seldom does one person share the same exact beliefs as a member of the same church, let alone sect.  Investigate the more "folk" cultures (I hate using that word because it deprives people of their dignity and artificially sets up the religious anthropologist on some fake pedestal) and you'll realize the incomprehensible diversity of the world.
