  1. I think Greg Oden will win ROY. SInce he missed last year he's still elegible for the award. Runner up would probably be derrick rose.

  2. i think oj mayo might get it, i see hinrich still getting good time at the point so i dont see rose being a big stat guy.

stats win roy awards, i see mayo getting a lot of minutes and the green light to just flat out score every chance he gets.

  3. I agree with you, Beasley will get lots of opportunity in Miami.  The ironic thing is that Marion made such a stink about being the third option last year that he kind of forced the trade to the Heat and he is now the third option there!!

  4. dont  forget that oden didnt play all last season so hes still considered a rookie... just saying, but i honestly think its gonna be beasley just too talented of a player, and rose is to me the biggest rookie bust of this year, i would put mayo way ahead of him and another guy i think people never talk about is jerryd bayless, i also think hes gonna be and is a better player than rose

  5. Oden

  6. Greg oden-

he's the bill walton, or sad to say the deceased Kevin duckworth of the blazers.

  7. Beasley and Rose may get their numbers and I hope Rose's Summer league performance is not what he'll do in the regular season but teams will still set their defensive strategy to stop their teammates...D-Wade and Marion for the Heat and Deng, Gordon and Hinrich for the Bulls...Oden is also  contender but as you can see, he's a defender and that not normally win you ROY so in my opinion the best candidate for ROY is OJ Mayo, eventhough the Grizz still have Rudy g*y, other teams will still put-up defensive stoppers on OJ, he's a scorer and he will score plus he's a guy who loves to defend and likes to play point, a great passer for someone who's known for his offense...

  8. Mayo

  9. Greg Ogden would be my number one choice as well, but he will be considered a 2nd player. OJ Mayonnaise will get it, the next magic johnson!

  10. yeah Michael BEasley will win cause he will be on a championship team!!

  11. Bayless or Oden since B-Roy is injured

  12. Beasley - The Heat will use him now. He will be given all the opportunity to put up numbers now and will be dependent to win now.

Rose will be asked to provide leadership as the Bulls rebuild around him and maybe another superstar if they can get one.

Oden may be on the running too, with the way Portland was running before Roy got hurt, they are very dangerous and young team, if they could squeeze in the playoffs in the West, that would be a great great accomplishment for that squad and should give him merit.

  13. The Blazers have 3 potential ROY canidates in Bayless, Oden and Fernandez.  The only snag is will they get the playing time to get the votes since the team is so stacked with talent.  Beasley will be in the running for sure and since Rose went #1, you can't count him out.  Personally, I don't think Durant outplayed Horford for ROY and I think he won because of being #2 in the draft.  Just my opinion.

  14. greg oden because he's been in the first season.

  15. Lets see... I think Derrick Rose, simply because he said he's aiming for MVP his rookie year.. When you set your goals that high things will happen for you... Beasley I dont think will have a 20 ppg season, because he will have to settle for being a 3rd option for now... Marion left Phoenix because he was tired of being the 3rd option, So he's going to be 2nd and Wade 1st... That will lessen Beasley's producion, but he should still get somewhere betwen 14-17 ppg... But one person I think will suprise is Jerryd Bayless... He averaged 30+ ppg during the Summer League, and Portland as of now only has one go to scorer in Brandon Roy... Oden will be a force, but he wont be averaging 20 + no time soon... So Bayless will get alot of shots and he's good enough to make them... He may just drop about 16- 20 ppg.. So yea, those are my predictions

  16. I'm going out on a limb here and will say it will be Marc Gasol.   The guy is in the perfect situation.  He comes to a team in need of an identity and he just showed the world what he can do.
