Which route is easier for college: medicine or law?

I'm Singaporean and by USA standards, I'm about to start my freshman year of highschool in september.

I would really like to pursue higher education in USA or the UK, but while I've always been interested in Medicine, I have a very broad based talent range - I acheive fairly good grades in Science, Math and Literature, and satisfactory grades in History and English. I get about a 3.2 in Geography. My portfolio so far, however, is more humanities based - I just so happen to have more activities in that area.

Which route is easier (i.e. more effective to get me a university place abroad) - for me to pursue my obvious talent in science and do medicine, and to read law or something with my more humanities inclined portfolio? I have equal passion for both, more aptitude in Science but somehow, a better portfolio in humanities.

I would appreciate it you also tell me the difference in expectations between usa and uk colleges, and include some personal information. :) Thank you!

  1. law   med is to much math

  2. Both take a huge investment.  If you like to help people, med would be it.  It goes by fast if you enjoy it.  Volunteer at the hospital to see if you like it.  Law is a bit less moral also.

  3. To me, you will be studying like mad in both fields. But they are totally different. Your best bet, I fiqure is to keep the highest marks possible and apply to several Universities. In the immediate future, that's the best you can do. The rest may be up to acceptance. But if you are accepted for both fields, I think you need to get in touch with the very soul of you for these 2 professions and their total involvement!!

Or hey, what about medical law???
