Question:

Which running back should I start week one?

I need to pick one of the following RB's to start week one: Larry Johnson (at New England), Ricky Williams (at home vs. the Jets), or Earnest Graham (at New Orleans). LJ would normally be the obvious choice here, but I'm not sure if that is a very good matchup for him. What would you suggest?

  1. I don't think LJ is a good choice either against the patriots. They will just stack the line and shut him down, then let Croyle try to make some throws, which won't happen.

I would lean with Ricky Williams, but that's just temporary. Think hard about it. New Orleans' defense has made some improvements too, new linebackers and safties.

    Think hard!

  2. Start a running back against NE? Recipe for losing.

Go with Graham. Ricky is always a wildcard.

  3. Patriots first team defense looked like c**p in the preseason. ye alright i got the drift its preseason but they cant just turn on a switch and automatically be amazing. I think you start Larry Johnson who is gauranteed 25 carries and earnest graham

  4. why is everyone scared of New England vs the rush? the D line is old & the LBs are older. you can pound the ball on them if you stay committed & they are will be wore down by the 3rd quarter.

  5. Personally...I am starting Williams...I have a good feeling about this year. the Jets are not an extensive run stop yeam...and williams is a man.

  6. If you are starting 1 RB, I'd start Graham.  Ricky is risky no matter who he's matched up with! I agree with LJ.  NE will eat him alive!
