Which saves more electricity, Kettles or Microwaves?

when i have a cup of tea for myself i dont know which is more efficient to use, but when im drinking w/ more ppl i know i can boil more with a kettle.. so which one?

  1. Microwaves save more energy. Kettles have to use electricity to heat up water (water's hard to boil.) when a microwave just has to release electromagnetic waves that can heat up a item very quickly.


  2. A microwave is more energy efficient and better for the environment. The microwave radiation that is released by the microwave makes the water molecules create friction among themselves within the food or hot beverage you are heating, which creates great heat and cooks your meal or heats your beverage. It takes longer to make a kettle boil, because the water has a high boiling temperature and the heat transfer to the water inside the kettle is much slower on a electric stove or open flame.
