Question:

Which school system is better for initial education? traditional one or montessorri system.?

some people told me that montessorri is a very slow system and after that if i put her to a private school, to cope up she will have to go through some extra classes, or tutions, what are the extra benefits as compared to the traditional one. do you know sombody studied in and what do you find the diff. in him/her...........thanks in advance

    I went through with the traditional education system and my best friend went through the Montessori system. And it's really all about personal preference. My friend is a lot different then me when it comes to being social, because she's really independent and to herself and that really is because of the school she went to growing up. I've also spent time interning at Montessori schools and it's really all about the teachers being one-on-one, and the students being completely independent which is a good quality to grow up having. The students that attend those schools will have a hard time getting along with others and being social because they don't get that at those types of schools. A lot of parents enroll their children in Montessori schools hoping they'll get a better education, but in the long run they need to have social skills, which they will lack when their older if they attend those schools! : ) And most of the time you can find way better teachers at regular traditional schools.
